Over more than 20 years of investing, we have built an unparalleled network, and a reputation to match, so when successful domestic market businesses are ready to upgrade their operations or step onto the global stage, we are the first people they call.

They know that Explorer has the skill, experience and connections to help them transform their potential, and the determination and focus to unlock it.

“It takes more than capital to transform a business: it requires trust, tough decision-making, and a close partnership with the management team every step of the way. Our approach is built on dedication, but the impact is undeniable.”

Pedro Coutinho, Partner, Buyouts

WORKING WITH US

Our experience and thorough research allow us to invest through a disciplined process that keeps management teams focused and enables swift decision-making.

As soon as we finalise the deal, we activate our value creation plan, working closely with the management team to strengthen leadership, accelerate strategic initiatives, and drive commercial expansion—both organically and, when appropriate, through bolt-on acquisitions that enhance capabilities, broaden market reach, and unlock new growth opportunities. When the time comes to exit our investment, we leverage our international network to bring the right suitors to the table, ensuring that the company’s next stage of development is in the best hands.

RECENT EXIT

Established in 2000, Micronipol grew to be one of the leading players in the domestic plastic recycling market. Following a failed sales process, Explorer stepped in and proposed a partnership with management, which had been looking to completely exit the business.

In 2024, Explorer arranged a successful sale to Veolia, the global environmental services group.

“Beyond the support they gave us to improve the business, the Explorer team’s experience in identifying, evaluating and negotiating with international investors was extremely valuable.”
